How to Oil Wash Your Face

Cleansing your skin with harsh medications and products is not your only choice in the battle against acne. Problems caused by acne include scarring and pain. Finding alternative remedies that are natural can be beneficial and soothing to your skin. Natural remedies are not instant, and do require regular application and a bit of gentle love. Show your face a little bit of attention everyday. Here are some tips on how to use oils to heal your skin.

Olive Oil and Castor Oil

Start with a tablespoon of castor oil and a tablespoon of olive oil. Your oils can be food grade from the grocery store or health food store. Spend a few moments to gently mix the oils together. Use these next few minutes to do something great for your skin. Massage the oils into your face. Close your eyes and lather gently into your skin. Use this time to relax.

Use the tips of your ring finger to give special attention to your eyebrows and eyelashes. Castor oil helps your eyelashes and brows to grow faster. This may work well after waxing or tweezing session where too much hair was taken out. It is painless to recover from a harsh eye brow.

Facial Massage

This massage will wipe off any last traces of make up and other chemical products you have used on your skin throughout the day. Use a plush wash cloth to gently remove the oil from your face. Your wash cloth should be slightly damp with hot water. This cleansing technique can be used daily in the morning and evening.

Skin Types

All skin types can benefit from cleansing your skin with natural oils. Even if your skin is oily, this will not cause breakouts. Never use mineral oil, this type or oil will clog your pores and add to your skin problems. This same cleansing could be tried with coconut oil or sunflower oil. If you have dark or ethnic skin, over time your skin will glow without wearing make up.

Regular use of the olive and castor oil wash can help to smooth out the Imperfections in your skin. Old scars may fade and your wrinkles may seem less harsh.
