Its about time to pull out those Christmas lights but if you just so happen to not have a Christmas tree to go with those lights then you might want to try turning your Christmas lights into your very own Christmas tree.
The idea of it may sound a bit crazy but it actually spiced up my 2009 Christmas, plus every one is really intrigued by the creativity that has been brought to my home.
It's not a difficult task to accomplish either, it's moderately easy. And the most you will spend on this project is $5 and more than likely you will be using this Christmas light Christmas tree later on down the line.
A list of 8 things you are going to need for your Christmas light Christmas Tree
1. At least have 3 or 4 strands of Christmas lights
2. Make sure to have hefty and stable hook for hanging
3. extension cord
4. Tape used for strapping
5. Ladder
6. Scissors
7 ornaments
8. fishing line
Step by Step instructions on how to create your Christmas Light Christmas Tree
1. Of course you want to figure out where you wish to put your Christmas Light Christmas tree. Once you figure out where you wish to you put it, grab your ladder and set it about 3 to 4 feet away from the corner you've chosen.
2. Grab your hook for hanging and screw into your ceiling as good as you can.
3. Make sure you test out your Christmas lights before you begin because you don't want to starting creating your Christmas light Christmas Tree and find out later that your lights don't work.
4. Once you've tested your lights, find the center of each strand of lights and place them on the hook. Make sure that each strand of lights are even from ceiling to floor.
5. Begin treating your Christmas Light Christmas Tree from the top, working your way down to the bottom by taking your fishing line and pulling it horizontally around your center cone at 6- inch intervals. Make sure that you knot each strand of lights so they won't come a loose and once you knot it, place a piece of strapping tape at the ends for better security.
6 .After working your way down to the bottom of your Christmas Light Christmas Tree, you can start placing your ornaments where ever you like. Make sure you hang your ornaments on the fishing line since the fishing line represents the branches of your tree.
Conclusion
Making a Christmas Light Christmas Tree is not only affordable, it's just all around fun. It might seem a little odd but once you set it up, you just might find it better than a regular Christmas tree. Treat it just the way you would a regular Christmas Tree; add garland, tinsels and even a star. Your kids are guaranteed to love it and your pockets will to.
