How to Make an Omelet in a Zipper-lock Bag

You Won't Believe How Easy This is

Reo

Here's a quick and easy method of making several omelets with different ingredients at the same time.

Here's how you do it:

First, put out a selection of ingredients to go with the eggs, such as cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato chunks, salsa, etc.

Everyone who is going to have an omelet should write their name with permanent marker on a quart-size zipper-lock bag. The bags should then be filled with whatever ingredients each person wants in the omelet.

Crack two large or extra-large (but never any more than two) eggs and add to each bag and shake to combine with other ingredients. Force out all the air from the bag and zip shut.

Place bags into rolling, boiling water for 13 minutes. Depending on the size of the pot, as many as six to eight omelets can be cooked at the same time in this manner.

When the omelets are done cooking, open the bags and the omelets will just slide right out onto a plate.

The best part of this recipe is no one is forced to wait until his or her special omelet is finished cooking because all of the omelets are done at the same time.

And to make this breakfast idea go even quicker in the morning, have everyone fill their bags the night before. When it's time to cook, all you have to do is put the bags in boiling water. Breakfast in 13 minutes!
