How One Person Can Change Your Life Forever!

Elise Marie
You're going through life and living each day as if you were going to be here tomorrow. You wake up in the morning with a plan already in your mind of what you are going to do during that day and that night even. Your life has a balance in it and people you love and adore, But what if that balance and the people you loved could change your life with in a flash of a second? Well if you don't know what could happen I will tell you what happen to me.

I was 18 and ran away from home. I was tired of living with my abusive family and so tired of the drama. I wanted peace in my life, and most of all balance. I ended up moving into My Grandparents house in Dover New Hamshire with them. It felt good being away from the life I had been living at my old home Back in Epsom.

In Dover I lived on Comanche Street in a small green cozy house. The outside of the house was filled with flower gardens, apple trees, and little hand painted bird houses where the birds would sit anc churp. The backyard was full of maple trees with a large swimming pool to the left of them. In the spring you would always see my Grandfather out racking the leaves and accorns up of the ground. He would then and get the pool ready for our out sticky summers.

My Grandfather was a gentle easy going soul. He loved he cigars and would always walk around with one in his mouth. My Grandmother hated that. She would always say " Take that thing out of your mouth"! I would laugh. My Grandfather was always there when I needed him. He was my night in shinning armor. He could turn a bad situation into an amazing one. He always had wise advice on life, and how to go about it. He always told me when I thought things were bad that "Things always work out in life one way or another, You just have to wait and see"! My Grandfather was my rock and the person I felt closest to.

My Grandma was a strong soul with a soft heart. She was the boss of everything. If you wanted to go anywhere or do anything you would have to ask her first. She would usually always say yes. She spent most of her time knitting and cooking for our family. You could always plan to get feed when you were around her. My Grandma was the person to go to for advice or when you had a serious problem. She would say just pray, and believe me I would. My grandma love traveling and enjoying life and believed we shouldn't waste it on the bad things in life or the small situations that troubled us.

My Grandparents changed my life for the good by being my angels in a time I needed people in my life. They gave me a loving home and support for anything I wanted to do. Even if my grandparents fought or didn't agree on something they would always say they loved me.

Life in Dover was better for me. I was enrolled into the Dover High School to finish my high school years. I was slighty behind because I was slow at learning and couldn't always understand everything I was taught right away. I was a very slow learner. After school I would go home to a home smelling like my Grandma's home cooking. Which was usually baked chicken and potatoes. It was so yummy. I would always fill my tummy and do my homework and after head to my job at Brook's Pharmacy. I worked there part-time for some extra money to save for a car and little things that I needed.

Once I graduate high school I continued working at Brook's Pharmacy at night and begun working at Fashion Bug in Somersworth New Hampshire durning the day. I started to save some money and get my life together to get a place of my own and a car I really liked. One the days I didn't have to work I would spend it helping a little girl who had no siblings and needed one. I had joined the Big sister Big Brother program and helped out. The little girl and I became buddys and I changed her life by just being there and playing with her. I taught her how to ride her bike and sometimes we would just cook. Other times she wanted to do arts and crafts. All she really needed was someone in her life who cared and would be there for her.

Then I met a man working at Fashion Bug believe it or not who became my boyfriend and soon would be my hero in a huge mess. Him and I would do everything together. We loved to travel and enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat after work. He would always surprise me and show up at Fashion Bug and then we would go to the park or drive around. I remember the first time he said he loved me I was excited and honored. I was happy to have him in my life. He Changed my life by just being apart of mine.

Little did I know my life was about to change. It only took one second, one phone call, one email, one man, and a mission. This mans mission was to take me out. He went by the name of raven. My Mom had hired him to kill me. She payed Raven by having sex with him. The reason why my Mom did this was because she didn't want me to open my mouth about my Step Father mentally, emotionally, sexually, physically abusing me. She figured the only way to keep my mouth shut would be to kill me.

The whole two years I lived in Dover New Hampshire going to school, work, and hanging with friends this so called Raven guy was following. I didn't even know it till the day the Dover Police took me into custody and told me I was being put under protection. Meanwhile I began recieveing phone calls from Raven, which then lead to an instant message saying it, " It takes a monster to find a monster"! I didn't understand what that message was about. I got off line as soon as possible. After I did that I started recieveing phone calls. I wanted to know how, why, what, who was involved. I didn't trust anyone, not even my Grandparents because I had recieved a call saying they were involved some how. The Police told me I needed some place safe to go. I didn't go.

I ended up moving up to Wolfeboro with my Boyfriend. No one found me there. My Grandparents were out looking for me. The police told me to stay hidden don't make phone calls, emails, or anything to just stay put until they caught the guy. I wasn't allowed to work. I stayed inside a lot and painted. I was always good at painting. My mind went crazy. I didn't want to believe what was going on.

My Boyfriend was always there cheering me up, cuddling with me, making me smile. He was my hero in a mess I didn't understand. He tried making my life as normal as possible. He was amazing. he did everything for me.

Eventually the Police caught the man and he admitted to everything. He ended up in jail and my Mom got a slap on the wrist. I was free to work and live life with my boyfriend, But till this day I don't trust people, and I'm careful every where I go. You just don't know in this world today what might happen or who is watching you. My life was changed in one second, and changed for the rest of my life.
