How to Online Grocery Shop

Richard Banks
The traditional aspects of family life rapidly change at a moment's notice. Parents work late; children have after school activities and schedules conflict, resulting in limited time to shop for groceries. An alternative to traditional in-store shopping is online grocery shopping at retailers such as Lowes Foods in Southport, North Carolina. From the convenience of your home, you will be able to select items, securely pay for the items and schedule pick-up time.

Step #1:

Log on to the official website of the grocery provider.

Step #2:

Select the city in which you reside using the pop-up menu. Select the appropriate location.

Step #3:

Select the department you wish to shop, including, grocery, health and beauty, general merchandise and special items.

Step #4:

Scan through the list of items and add the items to your cart. You will be able to save the items to a list in the event you have to step away from the computer.

Step #5:

Review the list created in your cart. Remove any unwanted items and select the checkout tab.

Step #6:

Lowes Foods offers an option to substitute items in the event the selected product is not available to purchase.

Step #7:

Register or log-in to secure your account. Verify your information is correct.

Step #8:

Select pick-up options or delivery options, were applicable. Same day orders will need to be placed by 3 p.m., as of 2011. Select the date and time as to when you will pick-up your groceries. Select the continue button.

Step #9:

Select credit card option. You will be able to pay with cash.

Step #10:

Select the place order tab.

Step #11:

Arrive at the scheduled time and pick-up your groceries.

In the event the order cannot be filled, a representative from Lowes Foods will call the number provided to discuss alternatives. The simple 11-step process is designed to create convenience from the comfort of your home.
