How to Organize Your Scrapbooking Kits, Pages in Progress, Photos and Supplies

Smead Retrospect Page Managers

Amy Solovay
This is a product review of Retrospect Page Managers by Smead. If you're looking for a way to store scrapbooking kits and keep the components together, these organizers are an ideal solution. Smaller kits will fit inside a single Page Manager; larger kits may require several Page Managers, but they can be stored together to keep the kits all in one place. Retrospect page managers can also help you keep track of scrapbooking pages and layouts while each page is still in progress. The largest section in the organizer holds 12" x 12" papers. There are 4 smaller sections, each 6 inches wide, that hold photos and embellishments. The organizer has a velcro closure for easy access. It closes securely.

Retrospect Page Managers are made out of a sheer poly material. It's not clear, but you can see through it easily. This is handy. If you have to look through a bunch of them, you won't have to open each one to see what's inside it. You can see the supplies right through the organizer.

Organization For Scrapbooking Crops, Retreats and Classes

If you attend scrapbooking crops, retreats, classes, or trade shows, you'll find that these organizers are nice to have on hand. Before you go, you can fill them up with the photos, papers, and embellishments you'll need. When you arrive at your destination, all your supplies will be organized so you can crop / teach / demonstrate easily.

Compatibility:

These organizers are compatible with other storage systems. They easily fit inside my Artbin Super Satchels; those, in turn, fit inside my Crop in Style XXL rolling organizer. It's an easy system for keeping everything together. You could also store these in hanging folders or other craft carriers.

Archival Qualities:

Scrapbooking supplies are kept safe inside these organizers. They are acid free and PVC-free. They are also photo-safe. They are made of waterproof material, and will give some protection against spilled beverages, rain, etc. However, care is still recommended, since the sides of the Page Managers are partially open, and fluids could come into contact with papers through the openings in the sides.

Disadvantage:

I do occasionally lose die cuts or other little pieces out of the openings in the sides, but that is the only down side I've encountered with this product.

Smead Retrospect Page Managers: A Recommended Scrapbooking Product:

I've been very pleased with these organizers overall. I own a bunch of them, and I use them constantly. I wish I had even more of them. I am happy to recommend them to other scrapbookers.
