How to Make an Origami Paper Gun Without Tape

L

Creating an origami sniper without the use of tape is a simple and inexpensive project that can be done with with just a pair of hands and two sheets of paper. Although it may seem complicated, the folding techniques become easier with practice. After you have learned to fold your papers correctly, you can customize your sniper by using different-colored paper or coloring it yourself.

Step 1

Place one sheet of paper on a smooth surface. Start from the top and fold it in half to the bottom. Repeat the fold two more times. Take the left-hand side of the folded paper, make a fold towards the right, then unfold it - this will make a crease in the center.

Step 2

Take the left-hand side of the paper again and fold it toward yourself at a 90-degree angle. Fold the right-hand side of the paper towards yourself at a 90-degree angle, and make sure it measures the same length of the left-hand fold. This will be your gun handle and trigger.

Step 3

Take a second sheet of paper and starting from the top, fold it in half towards the bottom. Repeat the fold two more times. Take the left-hand side of the second sheet of paper and fold it towards the right, then unfold it again. Fold the left side of the paper downwards, then the right side, making a 90-degree angle on both sides.

Step 4

Take the gun handle and place it in your non-writing hand. Make sure the trigger part of the gun is facing towards your writing hand. Stick the right-hand portion of the gun barrel through the open fold, located on the upper part of the gun handle. Place the left-hand side of the gun barrel through the opening located on the top fold above the handle. Push the barrel into place by pushing on the back of it until the back fold is touching the handle.
