How to Get Out of a Speeding Ticket

Amanda
Getting a warning is better then a ticket so try to get a warning before having to deal with the ticket. You can up your chances of getting a warning only by a few simple rules.
1. Be polite to the officer. Rudeness will get you nowhere.
2. Do not act dumb. You know you sped admit it but do not say how fast you were going, he might of clocked you at 50 instead of the 70 you were doing.

If you end up getting a ticket after being a model citizen there are a few ways to try to get out of paying the fine. These things will work often but not in a all cases.
1. Look at your ticket, some times there is a place where the officer schedules his vacation date. Reschedule your hearing for this case on the date, more then likely he or she wont be able to come. ( If the officer can not plead his or her half of the case you automatically win)
2. If there is not such a date, move the date anyways. Some times cops will schedule all their court dates on one day of the week, you can throw them off by making it a new day. Again if they can not show, it is your win.
3. Ask for an alternative sentence. You can go to the court ask to be put in driving school instead. This clears the ticket off your record.
4. If you were ticketed by a camera set up at a traffic light, just challenger your accuser to come to court. Obviously a camera can not attend so your case will be dropped.

If you follow these rules you might get out of paying a few hefty fines. But again you must be a model citizen from the beginning to up your chances of winning. Making yourself be noticed will allow the officer remember you and probably show up at any date you approve. Plus the officer could also add other fines other then speeding to your ticket and those you can not get out of.
