How to Get Over the Loss of a Job

Jenny Heart
Accept what has happened and move on, and never look back. This simply means to move forward with a positive attitude. Life isn't always fair. Anyone who has ever lost their job knows it's like having your heart ripped out from under you.

Someone may lose their job due to their poor attitude and poor work performance. This is when a person needs to dwell on what just happened. People who don't take their job seriously will not have a secure job for long. Employers want loyal and dependable employees.

If you've got fired from your job and it was your fault, think about what you did wrong. Learn to develop new job skills. Think about changing your attitude. Attitude is everything. When someone has a poor attitude about their job, their job will suffer. Employees will have conflicts with other co-workers. Attendance will be poor, and losing this job will soon follow. When a person has lost a job for these reasons, it's their own fault. They need to change everything about themselves. They need to do make many changes about themselves. in order to get another job and keep it.

Many people don't deserve to lose their jobs. They may have worked very hard at their job. They may have had more passion for their job than most. Some co-workers are jealous, or just pure mean, may have told lies about them. Now, an innocent person has lost their job. They feel angry, and abandoned. They need to fight to get their old job back. Let the truth be heard. You'll never know unless you try. Don't feel ashamed! Hold your head up high, and fight the good fight. If you've been treated unfairly, and you can prove it. Try your best to prove it!

When you have tried to get your old job back, and no seems to be the only answer you are hearing. You must make a choice. You can either stay angry at the world forever, or find a better job. You may have lost this job; however, you may just land your dream job tomorrow.

Things happens for a reason, and we may never truly understand, why we had to lose a certain job. We can walk in faith. In the Bible, it teaches us to walk in faith, and not by sight. This means when we pray for guidance, we need not fear. We need to have faith in God. He will bring us out of darkness into the light. Worry, just causes us more pain. Having a strong faith is the best way to get over the loss of a job.

We're all human, and if we have lost our job, we may be so angry that we can't see straight. Don't let these types of feeling overwhelm you. Your emotional well being needs tender care. Without it, our emotional state will suffer.

If you have tried, and know you can't get your old job back, so be it. Hold your head up high. Ask the good Lord for courage. Have the faith of a mustard seed that is talked about in the Bible. A mustard seed is ever so tiny, however, if we can just have that much faith, we can move mountains.

When all is said and done, think about whom you really are. God made us to do a job for him on this earth. We all have a divine purpose. Stay positive and you shall see. Your dream job may be closer than you think.

I also think things happen for a reason. If one job ends, maybe that means it's time to try something else. Who knows - it might be wonderful.
