All the decorations can be store-bought, but making them yourself is so much more fun and personal. In addition to creating your own Valentine's Day decorations, you can also use these crafts as Valentine's Day presents.

This beaded Valentine's Day heart is a very simple craft, so it is great for both children and adults. This beaded heart is also a very quick crafts, so if you are looking for party favors, this is a great one.

Materials

-red, pink, white beads

-ribbon (red, pink, or white)

-pipe cleaner

Instructions

1. The first step to making this great beaded Valentine is to choose which color you want your heart to be. You can use just one color, or you can use multiple colors, it is up to you. If you choose to do multiples, make sure you use a pattern. Also be sure to choose beads that you know will have a hole big enough for the pipe cleaner to go through.

2. Get two pipe cleaners, they can be any color you want, but if you have chosen see-through beads, make sure that the color of the pipe cleaner matches the beads. At one end of each of the pipe cleaners twist it, to make sure that the beads don't fall out when you start putting them through.

3. After you have twisted one end of the pipe cleaner, you can start putting the beads through the other end. If you have chosen to use multiple colors, be sure to remember the pattern you have chosen as your insert the beads. As you put the beads on the pipe cleaner, be sure that you keep a little bit of space on the pipe cleaner open so that you can tie the two pipe cleaners together.

4. When all the beads have been inserted on the pipe cleaner, it is time to assemble the heart. Very carefully, undo the twists at the bottom of the two pipe cleaners, but be sure you don't let the beads spill out. Then, tie the two bottom ends together by intertwining them.

5. Now take the one of the pipe cleaners and bend it so that it makes the shape of half a heart, and the other so that it bends into the other half of the heart. Using the space that you left, twist the two pipe cleaner together. You can make adjustments to the shape if you are not satisfied.

6. Take the ribbon, whatever color you have chose, and tie it in a loop where the two pipe cleaners are twisted together. Tie the ribbon in a knot and you should be ready to go. You can hang this ornament anywhere you want, or use is as a key chain, or bookmark, or anything else that you choose.
