How to Make Your Own Christmas Tree Ornament's Using Melted Beads

Cristen Ward
This project is very simple, inexpensive and adds shimmer and glam to your holiday decor.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Clear Plastic Beads
Christmas Cookie Cutters (size of your choice)
Silver or Opalescent Glitter
Aluminum Foil
Cookie Sheet
Drill
Small Drill Bit
Ribbon

Pre- heat oven to 450 Degrees. Cover cookie sheet with foil and lay down your cookie cutters. Fill the cookie cutters with a single layer of beads. Bake in the oven till all plastic is melted, about 15 minutes. Be sure to open all windows while baking, this project does get stinky! After the beads have melted, take them out of the oven, if there are any empty spaces in your ornaments drop a single bead in that space and re bake till melted. When done remove from oven and just lightly dust with sparkles, as the will set in as the plastic begins to harden. When cooled off, remove the ornaments and drill a small hole at top, just big enough to fit your ribbon hanger in. Tie off with a pretty bow and your done.

Get creative: Make free standing patterns on your own, or drop a plastic jewel in the middle and bake. The possibilities are endless.
