Air-tight Container for storage.
What you do:

Dentists recommend that you brush your teeth for at least a minute. If you have children in the home, it is recommended that you come up with a way to hep your children brush their teeth for a minimum of 1-2 minutes. You can do this easily by coming up with a song that your child can hum while they brush their teeth.
Remember to brush your teeth at least twice per day. Brush in the morning before starting your day, and again in the evening before retiring to bed. If you can, brush your teeth in between meals. You can accomplish this by carrying a travel toothbrush in your purse, or leaving one in your locker at work. Your homemade toothpaste can go anywhere you go, provided it is stored in an air-tight container at all times. Do not forget to close the container after every use to ensure freshness!
