How to Make Your Own Organic Baby Wipes

Judy Liu
As a parent or caregiver, a hidden but real cost of childcare is the cost of baby wipes. A simple alternative to buying pricey baby wipes is making your own. Follow the following steps below.

Materials Needed:
- 1 roll of organic paper towels
- 1 16 oz or larger bottle of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle
- 1 bottle of essential oil (lavender, rose, or other gentle oil)
- water
- Large storage bin or storage bag (seal tight container)

Soak 3-5 sheets of organic paper towels in a bin filled with water (quickly, do not leave in the bin). Remove the towels from the bin and wring it once (not too hard). Spray rubbing alcohol onto the towels. Add 1 drop of essential oil to the paper towels. Store paper towels in the storage bin or storage bag (seal tight container). It is ready to use. For babies or children who are allergic to any scent, you can skip the essential oil. Prepare up to 2 dozen wipes at a time and they usually last over a week in a seal tight container.
