How to Make Your Own Pouch

If you, like me, are one of those people who love putting stuff into pouches in order to keep them organised (like for example, inside your handbag), then you'll know that you can never have enough pouches!

I own lots and lots of pouches, but I also enjoy making my own as I get to create ones of different shapes and sizes.

Here, I've created this one from (i) the lower end of trouser leg which I snipped off when I turned the trousers into shorts; (ii) some fabric flowers; and (iii) an old chain.

First, I sewed around the black fabric using a simple tacking stitch to create the pouch. Along the opening, I created a border to ensure that the edges didn't fray.

Next, I sewed on the fabric flowers and the chain, to create a pretty pattern.

The pouch is absolutely perfect for storing makeup in!
