This scented moisturiser is made from entirely natural ingredients, it is delicately fragranced and nourishing, you can make it for yourself or you can even give it as a gift.

You will need:

A teaspoon of beeswax

150ml rose water

3 teaspoons of lanolin

3 tablespoons of almond oil

Thermometer

Heatproof mixing bowl

Non-aluminium saucepan

Jar for storing the finished moisturiser

Step 1: Place a Pan of hot water on the stove on a low heat, place the bowl into the saucepan and melt the beeswax and lanolin.

Step 2. Add the almond oil and mix together. Put the mixing bowl in a warm place to avoid the ingredients stiffening.

Step 3. Empty and dry the saucepan, add the rose water and borax and heat to about 50 degrees C. Add the heated water and borax to the bowl with the other ingredients and whisk thoroughly.

Step 4. Stand the bowl in cold water and mix until the contents are cold. Spoon the ingredients into a jar.
