How to Make Your Own Speed Racer Halloween Costume Race On

This year the movie Speed Racer became one of the top hit moves for children and even adults. Do you need a simple, fast, and neat costume for Halloween this year? Then I would suggest making the Speed Racer costume. This Speed Racer costume is very easy to create, cheap, and looks very cute on all the young racer fans. Remember homemade costumes are always the best. You don't have to spend a fortune on a Halloween costume to look cute. This year make your own Speed Racer costume instead of paying anywhere from $25-50 just for one day. Here's how you can create your own Speed Racer costume. Items you will need are as followed.

White track pants- Either polyester material or cotton. Don't use White dress pants or sweat pants they will look stupid.

Royal Blue button down shirt- Make sure it's short sleeved

Red scarf

White Fabric to make the collar around your Blue shirt and cuffs

Yellow fabric to make the Speed Racer logo for your shirt and hat (The logo is a G)

White Velcro sneakers or White leather shoes

White baseball cap

Yellow rubber/vinyl gloves (optional)

The only items you have to make are the (G) symbol for the Speed Racer hat and shirt, and the White collar and cuffs.

First draw a big G on the Yellow fabric (velvet) cut it out. Then take a hot glue gun or glue stick glue the back of the Speed Racer symbol. Place the glued symbol onto the hat and shirt. Let it dry for about 20 minutes before you continue. Then do the same technique with the White fabric except make a collar and cuffs for the shirt.

My thoughts on the Speed Racer movie- Kids may like this movie for all the vivid bright colors and the young characters that portrayed in the movie, but it certainly wasn't a movie anyone will go on about years from now like the "Matrix". Wachowski bros definitely put a lot of creativity and effort into making this movie hopefully if there's a next Speed Racer it will be much better. It is a great movie for those little race car fans, but the adults may not like it too much. I would give this movie 7 out of 10. For the animation look this movie gets a 9.
