Stickers are excellent for lots of things. You can use them for stocking stuffers during the holidays. They make awesome handmade gifts. You can spend a rainy afternoon making your own or use stickermaking as a project to keep your kids busy. You can scrapbook with your stickers or open up you own handmade sticker shop selling stickers to scrapbookers or collectors.
How to Make a Sticker Using Clear Packing Tape:
Cut a piece of clear packing tape and lay it on a table sticky-side up. Choose an item to make into a sticker. You can cut a picture from a magazine, an old children's book, a tag or advertisement, or you can even use dry pressed flowers, four-leaf-clovers, feathers, and other natural materials. Stick the item face-down onto the sticky side of the tape. There should be a little bit of tape visible around all sides of the object. Cut another piece of tape and lay it sticky-side-up over the tape on the table. Use scissors to trim around the sticker, but leave a little tape around the edges to protect the object pressed between the two pieces of tape. Now stick your sticker wherever you like! You can also make stickers using double-sided tape if you have some laying around.

Stickers can also be made from a variety of other materials. If you have some leftover price labels from a garage sale, you can draw pictures on them, paint them, or color them in to make beautiful collectable stickers. You can also use markers and paint pens to create designs on masking tape, then peel the tape off of the roll and cut around the design with a pair of scissors. Stamp books have a large sticker on the front of the booklet with a large image of the stamp. Encourage kids to save small photos and other pictures that can be made into stickers for lockers, sticker books, and for decorating their book covers and school notebooks.
