The first thing that should be a must when designing your commercial, is to write down your idea about the message you wish to portray. This should never be a rushed activity and it is advisable to take a few hours if not days to think about what it is you wish your commercial to say. If you are anything like me, you may have the gift of gab so putting everything down on paper may take a while but it will be well worth it in the end. As you look over what is written, you can then polish it up as well as reduce it down to a few catch phrases which would make your commercial stick in the minds of those you wish to reach.
Many webcams come with three functions. The first is it acts as a camera and can take pictures which can be automatically saved directly to your computer. The second is a microphone used to capture audio and the third is a movie camera icon used to capture video. The items required to make your commercial for under ten dollars are letter sized poster boards, a webcam, a computer and magic markers. Because many of us already have a computer and a webcam, these items will not cost us a dime. The real cost will come in the purchase of the letter sized poster boards and the magic markers.
You will need someone with decent handwriting to write down your message that you wish to rely to potential customers using the magic markers. Using the camera icon on your webcam, take a really clear and legible picture of each of the poster boards. After taking the pictures, at the bottom of your webcam window click on the edit button. When the larger screen or window opens, you should be able to see all of the pictures that you have taken. Drag and paste the pictures in the order you wish your message to be read and click on the play button of the small television screen that should also have appeared with the larger window.
This larger window should also be able to allow you to add music to your movie. Keep editing it until you are completely satisfied and then click save. You may not win an academy award for this production but you will definitely feel more in control of your destiny than ever before. Now you are ready to distribute your commercial to anyone and everyone that you choose.
