How to Make Your Own Wedding Favours

3cardmonte
Wedding favours really make a table look nice, they add a touch of personality and elegance and they are a beautiful gift for your guests.

But very often they are expensive to buy and they don't always have what you are looking for. You can make your own with ease and for a fraction of the price.

You will need:

Fillers ( wrapped chocolates and almonds are the most popular, but you can use whatever you want. Just adjust the measurements accordingly.

Fabric netting in one or two colours You will need two pieces per favour)

Ribbon

Miniature flowers

Scissors.

Glue

Please note, you can use whatever you want, but for this example I will put chocolates.

Step 1: Lay the number of chocolates you want in each favour onto the netting, cut around the chocolates, leaving enough room to gather it up.

Step 2: Cut another piece of netting approximately 2cm bigger all round.

Step 3: Put the smaller piece of net on top of the larger piece. Add the chocolates.

Step 4: Gather the net up; tie it close to the chocolates with the ribbon.

Step 5: Arrange the top of the net (you may need to pull it out slightly to make it look more decorative) Add a small amount of glue to the flowers and arrange them into the net.

Alternatives to wedding favours.

If you don't want to make your own wedding favours, you could always opt for something ready made.

Scratchcards.

An increasingly popular choice at only £1 each. Simply place them at each guest's table (as long as they are old enough)

Sweets.Another popular choice nowadays is candy, chocolates and sweets. Particularly retro sweets that you may have had when you were a child.
