Materials Needed:
Heavy Computer Card-Stock
Scissors
Decorative Small Rope
Glue
Leather or suede material
Step 1: Search the Internet for free stock photos and graphics, or use you favorite program to find the picture that best expresses the bride and groom's personality to place on the front of the invitation. Within this theme it could be his and hers cowboy boots, a stallion with a mare or even a funny cartoon rendition of a cowgirl roping her cowboy. Another option would be to use a picture of the couple dressed in their western best.
Step 2: Include the important information inside the card such as the names, date, time and dress that is expected. When making your own western wedding invitations, try out different fonts and find one that fits the theme.
Step 3: Print out the card and fold it according to the directions on the computer card stock.
Step 4: Glue decorative rope, in either a lasso shape or a heart shape around the picture. Underneath write something cute like "Come celebrate the start of our next rodeo with us.", along with the couple's names.
Step 5: Create the RSVP cards out of smaller card-stock with these three boxes that guests can check:
1. "Yee-Haw! I'll be there with my boots on!": For one attending.
2. "Yee-Haw! I'm bringing my sidekick with!": For guest plus one.
3. "Sorry Pardner! I wish you both a pleasant ride into the sunset together." For declining the invite.
Step 6: Cut leather about a 1/2 an inch bigger than the RSVP cards. Another option would be to cut the leather into the shape of a saddle. Glue the RSVP cards into the center of the leather pieces.
Step 7: Glue decorative rope around the cards or stitch around the saddle to finish off the old west feel.
When making your own western wedding invitations, buy envelopes that match or create your own for a complete custom look. Check out How to Make Envelopes for Homemade Invitations and Cards to learn how.
