Under the Community tab, on the left panel choose CP Tools. On the Tools tabs, choose Content Widgets. You now have the two choices: Spring Widgets and Widgetbox. For this tutorial we're going to use Widgetbox, just because I like their logo (this is also my first time creating a widget).
On the Widgetbox page you'll see a pretty green button on the upper right corner and that says "+ Make a Widget". Click that.
