How to Make Your Own New Year's Eve Party Decorations
Decorative Banners, Party Hats, and Champagne Glasses Guide for the New Year
The "Wall of Champagne" is my favorite because it brings class and elegance to the party. And it usually brings the most conversations of all the decorations I have at the party. I never go through a New Year's Party without this particular decoration. And it's so simple to do! Basically you get the glasses, and fill those three quarters of the way with Champagne, then decorate them to match your theme. The main part of this decoration is the shaving cream used to write letters and or numbers on the outside of the glasses to spell out your choice of message(s).
The second decoration is a staple in any and ALL New Year's Eve parties, even in other countries! A banner, from simple to cluttered. It all depends on what your preferences are, and what theme you are using for your party. The basics apply here, glue, glitter, ribbons, and anything else that may strike your fancy, like party hats glued to the banner!
The third and last one I will describe in this article is the decorate hats. I think the hats are extremely important in these parties for "The" statement of the evening. When hats are presented, most people will wear one, but many of them do it because of a form of peer pressure. Others are doing it, so they join in. There are some who won't even wear one, either because they are not stylish enough, or because they are too childish. Some won't wear them because they just do not like the hats. Although people will not talk bad about the hats during or after the party, no matter what they look like, it is always a huge confidence booster when they continue wearing the hat after the party because they like them so much! Again, hats aren't a large part of the party, but they SHOULD be!! Have fun making them, and people will have fun wearing them!!
