Despite it being a laundry detergent additive, the additonal costs to use it, by many accounts, is well worth the few extra dollars--less the OxiClean coupons. OxiClean manufacturer, in its frequently asked questions about Oxyclean, says there are three methods for using OxiClean in front loading washers.
1) If you have a front loader with an external dispenser, after the machine has been started and is agitating, add a pre-mixed cleaning solution of one ounce of OxiClean and 16 ounces of water to the machine. OxyClean manufacturer says this is the best method to use, if at all possible.
2) How to use Oxyclean in a front load washer as a laundry booster if you have a front load washer, means mixing one ounce of Oxyclean with however much of your laundry detergent your laundry detergent manufacturer prescribes. Don't forget to check the front loader manufacturer's directions for laundry detergent use, too.
3) When using liquid detergent in your front load washer, add a pre-mix of one ounce of Oxyclean and 16 ounces of water to the bleach dispenser. OxiClean manufacturers also state in its Oxiclean FAQs you can add it to the empty washer tub before loading your laundry into it.
