How to Pack for a Warm Climate Vacation

Cherie Bowser
If you are planning a vacation to a warm climate during the winter season, you will need to come up with a plan to make sure you don't forget all the items and clothing you will need for a warm climate vacation. To ensure that you don't forget anything, make a checklist, as far out as possible so that you can keep adding to your list of everything you would like to take on your warm climate vacation. Next, count how many days and night you will be at your warm climate vacation so you can have clothing for each night. You may even want to make a little calendar and write down what you will wear during the day and evening on each day. You don't necessarily have to wear the exact clothing you picked out on that day, but you will be sure to have enough clothes for the week. You may also want to make a list of all the toiletry items and even your tickets, so you can have your list the night before you leave.

On the night before you leave or even a few days prior, you should lay out exactly all the clothes you are packing as well as what you will be wearing on the plan ride to your warm climate vacation. There are several items that you will need when you pack for a warm climate vacation. You will want to bring lightweight shirts and shorts for during the daytime. You will want to bring at least one bathing suit for swimming and well as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. During the evening, you will want to bring some light weight long sleeved shirts, pants, and dresses. If you are going on a warm climate vacation, sometimes in can get cool in the evening and you may need some sweaters. When choosing your shoes, you will want to bring one pair of walking shoes and some sandals that are perfect for the daytime as well as the evening. For the outfit you are going to wear on the plane, you will want to layer as much as possible. It may be snowing where you live and when you step off the plane, it could be very warm. If you wear lightweight clothing under your other clothes, you can easily take them off when you arrive at your warm climate vacation.

The night before, you will also want to pack your toiletry items. It is really important that you don't forget your sunscreen, lotion, and maybe some aloe vera. Leave the items you will be using on the bathroom counter in the morning and pack them as you use them right before you leave. Don't forget your camera or video camera for those great vacation photos. Warm climate easy-I'm going North-happily and that is tricky packing. No little swimsuits -big bulky sweaters, jackets and boots
