How to Pamper Your Wife on Mother's Day

Wendy Brock
Every woman expects to be pampered on Mother's Day. Most men do not know the best way to indulge his wife. The following will help every husband give his wife the best Mother's Day she has ever experienced.

1. Clean the house for her. Get up early and clean up. This doesn't involve heavy duty cleaning. Just load the dishwasher, clear off the kitchen counters and table. Make the children put away their toys. Tell them it's a special surprise for mom and they will be happy to help. Go the extra mile and vacuum the carpet or sweep the kitchen floor. Mom will be grateful.

2. Clean out her car. Then take it to the car wash. Mom's car usually fills up quick with toys and litter. She is a busy lady and usually the children ride with her. Help her out by getting rid of the mess and giving her one less thing to do on the big day.

3. Take care of the children. They always need something, so give mom a day off and attend to the children's needs yourself. If they seem to constantly be under foot or in the way, give them some crayons and construction paper. Sit them at the kitchen table and tell them to color a pretty picture for mom.

4. Cook dinner. If you are an inexperienced chef, then opt for a simple spaghetti dish. Start dinner with a store bought salad, then serve spaghetti. Scoop out ice cream for dessert. Then clean up the mess. If you're too tired to cook and/or don't want to clean the mess, take the family to mom's favorite restaurant.

5. Spend the evening together as a family. Choose to watch a funny movie, play a board game, or read together. Once the children are in bed, draw a warm bubble bath for your wife so she can relax.

Pampering your wife on Mother's Day is this easy. Even though it sounds like a lot of work, the joy she will get from it is well worth it. Showing your wife that you take the extra effort to make her comfortable will make her smile. Love isn't about giving an
expensive gift, it's about pampering your wife in caring and thoughtful ways.

There is much to be said for a man who will take on the role of the mom for a day, by taking care of the kids and cleaning the house. It also gives mom a break from the daily routine to take care of herself.
