Things You'll Need
Green and Purple construction paper
Scissors
Craft glue
Green pipe cleaners
Tape
1 Cut 2 grape leaves from green construction paper. Cut 1 - 2 inch circle from purple construction paper. Cut 9 - 1 x 12 inch strips from a sheet of 9 x 12 inch purple construction paper.
2 Curl the 9 purple strips using a pencil the same way you would curl ribbon with scissors. Wrap the pre-curled strip around a pencil. Slide the curled strip off the pencil, hold the outside of the curl with a finger on each end and twist the curl to tighten it.
3 Gather all the rounds of the curl to one side, line up both end, and secure all layer and both ends with a small piece of tape from the outside to the inside of the grape. Tighten the curl to make different size grapes.
4 Glue the grape leaves to the purple circle with craft glue.
5 Arrange your grapes into an attractive bunch with the taped edges down and the taped seams turned inside the bunch. Glue the grapes together one at a time by adding a bead of glue to each part of the grape that touches other grapes. Flatten the bunch as you glue with your hand. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly.
6 Glue your grapes to the leaves by running several beads of glue across the area. Reinforce any grape edges by lifting it gently and adding a drop of glue. Place a lightweight saucer or paperback book over the grapes to weight them down gently while the glue dries.
7 Coil a pipe cleaner around a pencil leaving the middle of the pipe cleaner straight. Glue the coiled pipe cleaner on the leaves above the grapes.
8 Glue a green pipe cleaner to the back of the grapes for the stem.
Tips
Paper crafts are fun to make and a lot easier if you have the right tools. If you plan to spend time making paper crafts invest in a good paper cutter, craft scissors, a hole punch, hot glue gun, craft glue, construction paper, a supply of paper fasteners, piper cleaners, colored markers, craft paint and brushes, sequins, lace trim, ribbon, and googly eyes. Most importantly, buy an inexpensive plastic storage box or drawers to keep it your supplies safe and organized.
