How Parenting is Way Different Than I Thought it Would Be

Kelly Fleming
I remember watching my nieces and nephews and how well mannered they are. I was thinking the whole time this will be a piece of cake. Besides a few little things that needed to be done for children, everything else would just fall into place.

Labor: This was something I vowed to never go through again and I made my Husband promise me the same thing. Of coarse this was not the case I have 2 children now. In the make believe hank book you are required to go through this much pain so that you can enjoy your child.

No Sleep: After not sleeping for 4 months straight thinking that parenting was easy-I was wrong. Begging and pleaded does not work not even bribery.

Potty Training and Toddlers: This is an experience in itself I found that I was praying for poop in the potty. My son wanted his books and total privacy, but he got the job done just like his father.

Moving Away: From the minute they are born you want them out of the house. When my step-daughter moved out I cried straight for 2 days. I know I can get a little emotional but I wanted her to move back in. I am going to have to do this 2 more times with my boys. It is funny because I know that my Husband will be there to help them pack!
