How to Park Domains for Income

Jim Posey
Most everyone at some time or another has dreamt about having a business that they can run from the comfort of their own home. Even more people have dreamed about having checks deposited into their bank account without doing nearly a thing. Parking domains is for the latter type of person. It is very easy to get started and will require almost no maintenance on your part to get the income from these domains flowing in. The whole business of parking domains for income is a matter of traffic.

If you haven't run into a parked domain during the tenure of your Internet browsing time, try misspelling your favorite website. You will see a site that might be vaguely themed off of the website that you were trying to get to but have little to offer you. Park domains consist mostly of ads that are targeted to the domain name of the parked domain. Or instance, if you parked a domain called "newegq(sic)", instead of the popular electronics site "new egg", you will see ads that cater to computer enthusiasts.

The question that you are probably asking yourself right now is why would anyone ever visit a website that has little to offer the visitor besides trying to push them out the door into a pit of hungry advertisers? Well, the answer is that no one really wants to come to a parked domain but rather happen upon them accidentally. By choosing domain names that are misspelling of high traffic sites you will be able to see an unbelievable amount of traffic flood into your website.

You basically have to do nothing to operate this racket. You simply register the domain and find a free service that puts ads on the domain for you. The key is to pick the right site to mimic. This site should have as much traffic as possible. This traffic should be made of people who buy things as well. Don't be surprised if people trying to get to some charity site don't want to click on any of your ads on your domains.

To find the proper misspelling of the word at hand simply write it ten times as fast as you can (on your computer that is). Have a couple of people do the same thing, writing the domain name as fast as they can with no spaces in between. Are there any common misspellings that occur? If you can't find a good domain name this way fill up a page of Microsoft Word with the domain name you are trying to mimic. You are trying to imitate a careless Internet surfer.
