The first idea is to bring in your patio or garden furniture inside when the weather changes. Some of them are made with materials that really need to be protected from the elements. Use them as garage furniture. If you have a large garage space, it will be a great idea to keep your patio or garden furniture in the garage. That way, they are safe from the rain or snow, and can still be used for the next year. You can decorate your garage as a sitting or resting room when you have close relatives come by. If your garage is really cluttered and you absolutely cannot see your patio or garden furniture in there, follow the next step.
Find every little corner of your house or rooms. In each little corner of a room, you can plug in a chair and use it as a unique décor to contrast the room's own furnishing. It might seem out of place based on the kind of material for the garden or patio chair, versus what you have in the particular room. But, if you are not bringing in guests to your room everyday, what do you care about having everything match? Besides, I believe that someone who truly knows you and understands your décor style and ideas will not be snooping around to find mistakes in your decorating expertise. Mix and match them up with colorful throw pillows or stuffed animals to add unique style and character to the room.
If that is still not enough, stack them up and store them in your storage place, be it in the garage or elsewhere. Occasionally, when you have a get together or a party, you might need to bring them out for extra seating. But whatever you do, don't leave your patio or garden furniture in the rain just because you don't need them at the time. You will use them and have fun with them sooner than later.
There are many places to buy your throw pillows or stuffed animals. Target is a great place to begin. In their home furnishing department, you can find a lot of new and colorful styles of throws at dirt cheap prices to spice up your patio or garden furniture. Another great place to go is Big Lots! They have a lot of brand name decorative items at very low prices. Make your outdoor furniture perfect for your indoor use. Don't abuse them by leaving them out in the rain.
