How to Pay Rent with No Money

Nicole A.
Borrow from a Line of Credit
There are lots of credit cards that have a cash advance option for their card holders. This can benefit many renters who do not have the money to pay rent using other resources. Find out how much credit is available on your card because they may differ from non-cash purchases. If there is enough credit to pay rent with no money upfront, get a cash advance on your card. Do not take out more credit than what is needed to pay rent or else your minimum card payments could increase.

Utilize Co-Signing Opportunities
College students and other apartment renters have the option of getting someone to co-sign for their home. The co-signing agreement only applies to select apartment or home owners who want more reliable tenants when renting their properties. Ask the co-signing party for coverage on living expenses if you are experiencing financial hardship. A co-signing agreement can be one of the easiest ways to pay rent with no money of your own. The co-signer may eventually want money back if he or she was initially used only as a credit reference to obtain your apartment or house.

Host a Rent Party
Plan an emergency social gathering to raise funds for rental expenses. Invite friends and family to your rent party and set a cover charge at the door. Calculate how much money you need and divide that amount by the number of guests to be expected. Once you have the basic guest list set, double the amount of invitations sent out. This will increase your chances of still being able to pay rent if some invited guests do not show up.

Sublet the Rental Space
Do you know someone who is visiting your town or needs a place to stay for several nights? Sublet a portion or all of your rented space to singles or couples who can afford your monthly rent. Ask to sleep on a friends couch for the duration of your sublet agreement or offer to share your living space. Charge daily rates or negotiate one flat fee that will help to pay rent for the current or following month. Subletting is illegal in some areas, so it's best to research the rules before using this as a method to pay rent with no money.

Cash out a portion of unused Student Loans
Some college students may have benefits that can be used to pay rent with no money. This is beneficial only if you are using student loans to attend college. Ask the registration office for information on how to get cash back or refunds from your student loans. The options vary for this method of trying to pay rent with no money depending on your school status and type of loan. This is not free money so keep in mind that you will still have to pay back any student loan advance that are used to pay rent.

Using student loans for living expenses is a risky decision and should be only considered as a last resort in dire circumstances. Try all other options and resources at your disposal to pay rent with no money before using your student loans. This type of funding is best used for purchases that contribute to your college education, even if they are not tuition based. It is easier to justify buying college textbooks using money from your student loan than paying for living expenses.

    Loss Mitigation Review '" 866.359.7363
Please, please grant us a Loan Modification for loan #0255099277

    "SUMMARY''

We fell behind some time after my daughter passed away from cancer issues and son-in-law lost his job from grief and depression. He found himself displaced in the work force and at some point on meds and then disability. He and I both continue to look for work but at present to no avail. Allen currently receives $1053.00 Disability and I receive $983.00 SS benefits.

See Income attachments. We desperately need a Loan Modification of around $700.00. See financial statement. We both want to stay in the house, create a business, pay the house off and fix it up, bringing it up to code. Du
