How to Have Peace and Happiness

Ralston Heath
When we contemplate how full and rich the universe is, that everything we require spiritually and physically and more is easily available in plenty, all the good things in abundance. That all we could ever need will be granted for the mere asking.

Then compare it to a person's pitiful struggle for a few pieces of money, and we can see how selfishness is what causes our problems. Nature gives to us it's all, without loosing anything, compared to the humans dark and ignorant grabbing causing us to have nothing. Selfishness is destruction, trying to take all we can results in losing what we have.

Now let us look at those who are truly prosperous. We will find that these people have integrity, they are generous and share their love, and they trust themselves to always do the right thing at the right time. These folk have an inordinate amount of what we call luck, and they call divine providence.

From this contemplation we see that it is the heart that has integrity, trust, generosity, and love, that is granted prosperity and happiness. The person who does not have these qualities can never be granted happiness, as happiness is not an outward possession, but an inward realization.

You must endeavor to, at all times do that which you think is right. Right thoughts followed by right actions, equals right results. Trust the divine power of the universe to always act in accordance with what is right. This trust will turn your losses in to gains, your setbacks into milestones, and your curses into blessings.

Let your soul expand from where it is now. Let your heart reach out in loving warmth to others, be generous to those whom you are led to interact with, and you will be granted happiness. Yes you must still take care of yourself, you can not have someone else take a bath and expect your body to smell better. You must attend to your own requirements, but take only what you need. To be greedy of what there is to cause your own unhappiness, it is through selfish dissatisfaction that you bind and limit yourself. For example if you were to eat all the food like a glutton you will find your self less and less satisfied of the amount, causing a downward spiral of ill health and a degradation of your spirit. There is always more than enough for you, take only what you require, do what is right and you will always find enough.

Be loving and true, bighearted and openhanded, maintain your integrity and you will find that your right actions will bring to you happiness and prosperity. To posses these traits which constitute goodness will keep you armored against evil and protected during times of trial. To cultivate these traits will build your own success and your prosperity will not be fleeting.

Knowledge and wisdom is the path to peace. Never presume that you have all the answers. When even the slightest doubt arises, seek more knowledge. Turn your knowledge into wisdom and take right actions, and you will lead a life of peace and happiness.

Be Blessed.
