How to Make Peanut Butter Fudge

Great Fudge Recipe for Christmas Gifts

Barbie Crafts
Those of you who read my articles frequently might be surprised to know that I cannot make fudge. I have never successfully made any kind of fudge, using several fudge recipes. I have had some pretty terrible experiences that involved a kitchen with fudge running everywhere. I finally made peace with myself, and gave up trying.

This Thanksgiving, my mother came home from a dinner talking about some peanut butter fudge recipe someone made from "Liquid cake mix." (My mother does not cook much.) I did a little searching and experimenting; here is what I came up with, and it is wonderful!

My family, who is well aware of my total inability to make fudge, was so surprised by the platter of peanut butter fudge! My husband was downright excited.

This no-cook fudge is perfect for Christmas gifts.InstructionsThings You'll Need:

  • Pillsbury Creamy Frosting; 1 container Vanilla
  • Peanut Butter: 1 17 oz jar
  • Powdered Sugar (confectioner's sugar): 3 tablespoons
  1. Step 1

Remove the aluminum seal from top of frosting container. Microwave for around 30 seconds, or until melted. This is all the cooking you will do for this fudge recipe.

  2. Step 2

In a bowl, mix the melted frosting and the entire jar of peanut butter.

  3. Step 3

Add powdered sugar, one tablespoon at a time, stirring well. You are basically done with this peanut butter fudge recipe!

  4. Step 4

Pour into an oiled dish, 8" by 8". Cover with foil, and place in freezer for around 15 minutes, until peanut butter fudge is hardened.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can make peanut butter fudge for last minute Christmas gifts. The ingredients can be purchased for between two and three dollars, depending on what you have at home.
  • You can use store brand ingredients to make peanut butter fudge. It will make no difference.
