You will help the child glue the first Popsicle on the cup. You need to make sure that it is straight or the sticks will not line up right. After the first one is glued with your help the child should be able to do the project without help on the gluing anymore. They can continue to glue on sticks until it is covered. After they are all glued onto the cup, they can start decorating however they choose. They can color or paint the sticks however they like. Just let them be creative. You can also provide them with glitter, stickers, buttons, and other small items can be used to decorate the pencil holder. This is the fun part because they can do this without much supervision. After the project is completed and the paint, markings, and glue are dry, you can then spray with an acrylic gloss spray. You will need to do this step yourself!
This is a very easy project that your children can make with a little supervision and a few items that might even be in your home. You can easily buy the items needed for this project at most craft stores and some will even be at your local Dollar Tree. Have fun with your children. Let them make this during the weekend or on a rainy day. This is a great gift that they could make for someone too. Just let their imaginations run wild with this simple craft project designed for them.
