How to Make the Perfect Frozen Margarita

Genesis
We have all wondered at one time or another why no matter how hard we try to make margaritas, at our favorite bar they are just better than anything we can make at home. Well after some trial and error in my own kitchen, and passing out more than once, I have finally found the keys to making that perfect frozen margarita. Some of the methods may seem a bit crude however if you have ever watched your bartender throw a margarita together it isn't exactly scientific.

Since I learned how to make them myself, I no longer envy the guy making me a margarita, thinking he is so smart. Our only disadvantage is that we usually don't have the ingredients that they have at the bar. What most of us do not know is the margaritas we order at the bar are a lot more than tequila, margarita mix, ice, and salt. Here is a list of the things that are actually used in your margarita at your favorite bar or restaurant and what you will need.

Chilled glass from your freezer
Small bowl of water
Margarita salt on a plate
Ice (crushed or cubed is fine)
Blender
Your favorite lime margarita mix
Your favorite brand of tequila (I prefer any Blanco tequila)
Triple Sec
Grand Marnier

Now that you have all the stuff you are really ready to go:

1. Fill glass with ice about one and a half times and put that into the blender.
2. Dip the rim of your glass into the bowl of water and then into the salt and set aside.
3. Fill blender with one third with margarita mix.
4. Add one and one half shots of tequila to blender. If you like a weaker drink one shot will work too.
5. Add a half a shot of triple sec to blender.
6. Add one shot of Grand Marnier to blender. Again if you like a weaker drink a half a shot will work.
7. If anyone likes their drink a little extra salty now is the time to throw a little bit of that salt into the blender too.
8. Blend until smooth (you know on the blend setting)

Now all you have to do is drink up. Hope you all enjoy the best frozen margarita ever.
