There are thousands of tasty food items available, but there is no real appetite these days in most of us. This is due to the reason that we do not perform exercise regularly. This is the main reason most of the ailments bother us all the time. The most common of them all is lack of proper appetite and improper digestion. This lack of appetite and the digestion process can be improved very effectively with the help of Nauli Kriya as per the science of Yoga and Pranayama.

The procedure of performing this Yogic Kriya of Nauli is very simple. You have to stand on your feet, keeping your both the hands on your knees. Your legs must be around one and a half feet apart. Exhale your breathe out completely. Do not take fresh breathe inside. Perform Udiyar Bandha by bending your neck so as to touch it with your chin without taking in a breath. Transfer weight of your body partly on your both the hands, which are resting on your knees and leave the belly in loose position, while stretching it a little towards your chest. Then, try to form a tube sort of thing on your abdominal area by squeezing your abdominal area forcefully in circular motion. The exact Nauli formation will need about 10 day's practice. you will be able to see a tube like structure, which is known as Nauli, on your abdominal area after few days practice. However, make sure to perform this Nauli Kriya with fully empty stomach. The early morning hours is the best time for practicing it. When the Nauli formation starts in middle of your stomach area, press the Nauli with your right hand and observe it moving towards the left side of the stomach area. Similarly, by pressing the Nauli with your left hand, it will move towards the right side of the stomach area. When one has enough practice, he will be able to move the Nauli quiet speedily in both the directions by circular motion of your abdominal area. Please note that the complete Nauli Kriya is to be performed after fully exhaling and in Bahya Kumbhaka. That means without any air inside your lungs. The time period of performing this Nauli Kriya would only be around 30 seconds or so in the begining. Try to increase this time period slowly up to one and a half minute or so over the practice of three months. This Kriya is slightly difficult and may not be possible to achieve within very few days in case of some individuals. But, the key is in daily practice till you succeed. This Kriya must be performed after you complete all your other pranayamas, which you might be performing as per your normal routine.

This Nauli Kriya removes the impurities stuck on the walls of the large and small intestines, making them very flexible and powerful. It cures indigestion, constipation, obesity, and the diseases pertaining to liver, spleen, and kidneys.
