Preparations
A lot of times we carry around emotional and energetic static or negativity from worry and stress. It's a very good idea to get rid of this static and negativity before attempting any rite or spell so that it doesn't get mixed up in the energy you're trying to use to manifest your positive result.
The best way to do this that I have found is to take a nice hot bath. Run the bath full of hot steaming water that is comfortable and throw in 2-3 palm-fulls of sea salt. You can add a few drops of lavender essential oil or another calming essential oil if you like. Next, light some t-lites or some other candles (on safe stands or plates) around the bathroom and turn off the lights. As you rinse your body in the hot water, visualize all the negative energy being washed away with it down into the tub, feel it cleanse you and take away all your stress and worry. When you are done washing and feel nice and relaxed, pull the plug or allow the water to drain all the way out without getting out of the tub. As the water sinks and flows away, visualize it taking all of that energy and worry and stress down with it. Once the water is all gone, get out and dry off. You can then move on to the rite or you can get dressed first, it is your choice.
Materials
You're going to need some materials for this rite, but most are very easy to find here and there and around the house even: a green candle, either a votive or a taper; olive, vegetable, or almond oil; a plate or holder for the green candle; ground cinnamon, the scent of inscence you feel most comfortable with; painters' tape or chalk; a fire proof container, such as a castiron cauldron or a kettle or a metal bowl set on a ceramic plate; a piece of paper never used for anything else; a green marker; a bowl of water; a white or red candle with holder/plate; a feather or picture of a bird; and a rock or houseplant.
Once you have all of your materials you need to set them up as you would use them. Do not rush through even this part of the rite, as the solemnity you give this will only strengthen it.
Use the painters' tape to make a circle on the floor if indoors or use the chalk if outside on cement or a patio. At the East edge of the circle, place the feather or picture of a bird (if you are outside, you may need to weight it down with a stone. At the South edge place the red or white candle and its holder. At the West edge place the bowl of fresh water. And at the North edge place the houseplant or stone(s). All the other materials will be placed within the circle so that when you sit infront of them, you are facing East. Arrange them how you like, just as long as they are within reach.
Proceedure
1. Ground and center; find a stillness and calmness within yourself. The bath should have helped with this.
2. Use a broom to go clockwise around the circle and visualize it pushing all of the negative or confusing energies before it and out of the room/area. Also, light the red or white candle at this point to represent Fire.
3. As you sit in the middle of the circle, face East and say, "I welcome the powers of the East and of Air. I ask that they guard and protect this circle as I do my work." Still sitting, turn to the South and say, "I welcome the powers of the South and of Fire. I ask that they guard and protect this circle as I do my work." Turn to the West and say, "I welcome the powers of the West and of Water. I ask that they guard and protect this circle as I do my work." Turn to the North and say, "I welcome the powers of the North and of earth. I ask that they guard and protect this circle as I do my work." When done, face back to the East and your materials.
4. If you have a religious affiliation, now is the time to invoke Him/Her/Them/It and ask them into the circle. If you do not wish to add a religious context, simply skip this step and continue.
5. Visualize a sphere around you that passes through the drawn/tape circle to meet above your head in a dome and also goes beneath the floor/ground, completely protecting and enclosing you in your ritual space, keeping all negative energy out and all good energy in.
6. Take some oil onto your fingers and pick up the green candle. Rub the oil on it lightly from top to middle and from bottom to middle as you think about your goal.
7. Light the green candle. Meditate on its flame as you envision your goal. Actually play it out in your mind of you getting an offer and going to an interview. Do not visualize a specific job though. Do this until the vision seems complete or until you can no longer hold the visualization.
8. Take a pinch of cinnamon powder and sprinkle it around the green candle three times clockwise. Also sprinkle a little into the flame of the candle. Watch the sparks from the cinnamon rise a little bit. Envision those sparks and the cinnamon sprinkled out as releasing energy to accomplish your will. You could say, "Cinnamon, add your energy to this rite. Send your energy out to accomplish my will." Or something similar.
9. If you wish to eat something and offer a food offering, now is the time. If not, then simply skip this step and proceed.
9. If you invoked dieties, now is the time to thank them for their aid and bid them farewell from your circle. If not, then simply skip this step and proceed.
10. When you feel ready, face the East and say, "Thank you, powers of the East and of Air. Farewell. My blessings take with you." Face South and say, "Thank you, powers of the South and of Fire. Farewell. My blessings take with you." Face the West and say, "Thank you, powers of the West and of Water. Farewell. My blessings take with you." Face the North and say, "Thank you, powers of the North and of Earth. Farewell. My blessings take with you."
11. Blow out the fire candle.
12. Invision the sphere around you coming down from the top and sinking into the ground. You may say, "The circle is open but never broken. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again."
13. Place the green candle somewhere safe to burn itself completely down to release all the energy you placed in it. If this is not possible, then snuff out the candle and bury what is left in the ground. DO NOT reuse the candle for any other purpose. If you let it burn down, whatever is left bury in the ground.
The rite is done. Now you just need to make note of what you did and when you did this for future reference and be open and positive, and above all do not mention the rite to anyone until it has come to pass. It may not happen instantly, but be on the lookout for how it may manifest, still search for jobs and look for places to apply. You'll get that opportunity.
