First girl and the main character of this show is Miss Carrie Bradshaw. Of course, the first thing I can relate in this character is the writer. I love to write and I do write obviously. The next thing that reminds me of myself in her is her relationship with the infamous Mr. Big. Mr. Big is a man who continued to come back into her life, a man who despite where he was in his life or what kind of relationship he was in seemed to affect her dramatically. He was a character who brought the good and bad out of her and made her do things almost out of character. In the final episode she ends up back with Mr. Big and you assume they live happily ever after finally. I have a Mr. Big also, a guy who comes in and out of my life. A guy who makes me acts out of character but someone who just drive me insane with passion. Carrie girl every episode I understood your struggles with him, girl I understood!
Then there is Miranda the cynic of the group. My views like hers when it comes to men are similar. She believes being a strong woman, a smart business woman, makes men look down on her. Miranda with her quick wit and cynicism almost parallels my own reality. The way she speaks towards men and always having that sarcasm towards life while around friends of course is how I am myself. I am always there with a quick hit as well.
Next is Charlotte the one character who resembles me the most physically. Charlotte and I both are short, have brown hair and eyes, and have that sweet look about us. But not only do we have similar physical qualities but we also have a hopeless romantic view. Although I have a cynical character I still am looking for the day I get married and have the white picket fence. I find myself searching for that husband and for that family like she was. At my age of 25, I can hear my biological clock ticking.
Finally there is Samantha the strong sex vixen. I like her am very open sexually. I do not see one night stands as a bad thing. I do not see my sexuality or hers as a bad thing. I think open sexual women are frowned upon in normal society. I am glad there was a character like Samantha, she allows women to realize having sex is not a dirty thing. Women are sexual being just as much as men are, as long as your smart and safe about it, you should be allowed to do what you want to do.
So is there something wrong with me or am I just a well rounded woman. I think I will embrace my inner Sex and the City characters.
