There are plenty of ways you can personalize, and customize your Old Navy Flip which will make them unique, just like you.

GUMMY BEAR OLD NAVY FLIP FLOPS:

You will need:
A pair of Old Navy flip flops
Gorilla glue
Gummy Bear candies
A sharp knife
Wax Paper
Clothes pins
Polyurethane

First you will need to cut your Gummy Bears, because they are to thick. You want to cut the Gummy Bears in half starting at the head. When you finish you will have a whole Gummy Bear body, just half as thick. Next carefully apply one thin coat of Polyurethane to the front and sides of the Gummy Bear and place them on wax paper to dry. Allow the Polyurethane to dry for 12 - 24 hours, or until they are dry and no longer tacky. Once the Gummy Bears are dry flip them over, and apply a thin coat of Polyurethane to the back of the bear, and allow the bears to completely dry. After the bears are done drying, you will need to check them to make sure you haven't missed any spots. The Polyurethane will keep the Gummy Bears from melting, or collecting ants. After you are 100% sure that the Gummy Bears have a complete coat of Polyurethane you have attach them to your Old Navy flip flops. To attach the Gummy Bears use a small dab of Gorilla glue. Gorilla glue expands as it drys, so only use a small amount. You can use clothes pins to hold the bears in place while the glue drys. In about 4 hours the glue will be about 80% dry, however if you have the time to let them set for 24 hours, the Gummy Bears will never fall off. The end result is a fun pair of flip flops.

BOTTLE CAP OLD NAVY FLIP FLOPS:

You will need:
A pair of Old Navy flip flops
Gorilla glue
Needle nose pliers
Clothes pins
Bottle Caps

Bottle caps aren't as common as they once were, but you can still find drinks that have caps. If you don't already have a bottle cap collection, you can either look online at sites like www.ebay.com for cheap bottle caps, or you start collecting them. Coca Cola, Orange Crush, and beer bottles can be bought at most grocery stores. You will need approximately 15 caps to make an adult pair of flip flops. To make these funky flops start by bending the sharp points of the bottle caps inward with your needle nose pliers. This will keep the edges of the caps from cutting your feet. Once the edges of the caps are bent inward, apply a small amount of Gorilla glue to the edges, and place them on the straps of your Old Navy flip flops. Secure the bottle caps to the straps using clothes pins, and allow them to dry for at least 4 hours. Allowing them to dry for 24 hours will provide the best results. TIP: Make sure none of the Gorilla glue is touching the clothes pins while they are drying. The final product is a funky pair of Old Navy flip flops that show off your sense of style.

BUTTON OLD NAVY FLIP FLIPS:

You will need:
A collection of buttons
Gorilla glue
A pair of Old Navy flip flops
Large paper clips

Buttons are easy to find in all shapes and sizes. To make these button flip flops simply apply a dab of Gorilla glue to the back to the buttons and place on the straps of your Old Navy flip flops. Secure the buttons using large paper clips, making sure none of the Gorilla glue is touching the paper clips. If you would like to over lap your buttons, allow the bottom layer to dry for 4 hours, then apply the top buttons. Your button flip flops will be ready to wear in 4 hours, however if you wait 24 hours, the Gorilla glue will be 100% dry, and your buttons will not fall off.

Gorilla glue holds better, and longer then hot glue, or super glue. You can find Gorilla glue at any home improvement store, most craft stores, and at discount stores such as Walmart. Gorilla glue will hold anything you choose to personalize your Old Navy flip flops with. Other suggestions for personalizing your Old Navy flip flops include:
Silk flowers
Cracker Jack toys
Plastic stars
Rhinestones
Shells
Shark Teeth
Ribbon
Bows
ETC...

Personalizing your Old Navy flip flops is an easy project that anyone can do. Gorilla glue takes about 5 minutes to set, allowing you time to remove, or move a piece you do not like. Even though this product is easy enough for a young child to do, Gorilla glue should not be used by children. It is a strong glue, and will bond to your skin, similar to super glue. CAUTION: Personalizing your flip flops is easy and addicting, you might want to pick up several pair.
