How to Make a Personalized Astrology Beaded Necklace

Supplies:

22 inch piece of beading wire
Silver barrel clasp
Scissors
Moon and star charms
50 to 80 - 6mm beads in your birthstone color
50 to 80 - 6mm silver beads
Silver zodiac sign pendant
Jewelry glue

Directions:

1. The amount of beads needed for the astrology necklace will depend on the length of necklace you choose to make. The necklace featured will measure approximately 20 inches in length. Tie one end of the beading wire to one end of the barrel clasp. Tie again, then trim ends.

2. String on five silver beads, then five birthstone colored beads. Repeat this bead pattern one more time ending with the row of birthstone beads. You can place a star or moon charm after each bead set, or place them sporadically throughout the beads. The bead pattern and placement of the moon and star charms can be changed to suit your taste and style.

3. Slide the zodiac pendant on the jewelry wire.

4. String on five birthstone colored beads, then five silver beads. Repeat this bead pattern one more time ending with the row of silver beads. Place the star and moon charms using the same placement pattern used on the first set of beads.

5. When all beads are strung on, tie the end piece of bead wire to the other side of the barrel clasp. Tie again, then trim ends.

6. Place a dab of jewelry glue on each tied knot. Let dry. This will help to secure the necklace to the barrel clasp.
