Wine Glass Lamp Wedding Favor
Supplies:
Average size wine glass
Wine glass lamp shade
1 yard of beaded ribbon
Wallet size picture of the bride of groom
Paper punch
Thin ivory ribbon
small silk mauve roses
Glue gun and sticks
Tea light (battery-operated or regular)
Directions:
1. Ribbon that has beads dangling from the edge of the ribbon is what I find makes the prettiest Victorian accents on the lampshades. Glue the beaded ribbon around the top edge of lampshade. Glue the beaded ribbon around the bottom edge of the lampshade. Cut off excess ribbon.
2. Glue a few mini roses around the edge of the top and bottom beaded ribbon.
3. Punch a hole to the corner of the wallet size picture of the bride and groom. On the back of the picture you can write the bride and groom's name, and their wedding date. Another option that I do is to print mini labels of the wedding information then stick the sticker on the back of the picture. This is also a faster choice if you have a lot of wedding favors to make.
4. Tie the picture of the bride and groom around the stem of the wine glass using the ivory ribbon.
5. Place tea light inside the wine glass. Battery-operated tea lights are a great choice, especially if it is an evening wedding. I have also filled the wine glass with candy, potpourri, and made gel candles in replacement of the tea light. The possibilities and variations are endless.
6. Place the lampshade on top of the wine glass.
The website www.beverlys.com offers inexpensive wine glass lamp shades. They sell a set of 4 shades for $9.99. This is a great lamp shade choice for the wine glass lamp wedding favors. The website www.mjtrim.com offers a great selection of beaded trim needed for decorating the lamp shades.
