Choosing Paper
There are a wide variety of papers you can choose to use for your personalized wrapping paper needs. Butcher paper is cheap and comes in large amounts; cellophane is another inexpensive and fun alternative. Tissue paper, newspaper, and newsprint paper are also very inexpensive and make a great base for personalized wrapping paper.
Stamps
Stamps are an excellent way to make personalized wrapping paper. There are a wide variety of rubber stamps available for inexpensive prices, and you can even make your own stamps cheaply. Using a potato, sponge, or clay simply cut the desired shape out and dip it in paint or on an ink pad.
Spray Bottles
Stickers
Stickers are a cheap find that will add that custom feeling to your wrapping paper. You can find inexpensive stickers in a variety of styles at local dollar stores and craft stores. Use stickers all over the wrapping paper for an abstract pattern, or use stickers in particular spaces for a detailed look.
Prints
You can also add a personalized touch to wrapping paper by using the computer to print out images that the recipient of this gift will enjoy. Cutting printed images from magazines and posters also work well. Simply use scissors to cut out the shapes. Apply watered down glue with a paintbrush to evenly coat the back of the images and press gently on wrapping paper. This will give you a one of a kind look.
Finger Paints
Children and adults will love personalizing wrapping paper with finger paints. Use finger paints to cover entire sheets of paper, add only handprints, or write with your fingers and the paint. Finger paints can be mixed together right on the paper to create swirls and designs. This personalized wrapping paper idea is great for young children.
Markers
Another easy and inexpensive way to personalize wrapping paper is by using markers. You can create a fun pattern by outlining objects on top of the paper using the markers. Overlapping outlines is a great way to add color and detail. You can also draw fun shapes with the markers, or try writing a message or the recipient's name.
Personalized wrapping paper is a fun and easy way to make your gifts even more special. Personalized wrapping paper is inexpensive, and it will show the person receiving the gift how important they are to you.
