How I Picked My Halloween Costume

Charles Adam
One day, as I was walking through the zoo, I noticed a dinosaur eating a gazelle.

I don't know what kind of dinosaur it was. I once had an extensive knowledge of dinosaurs but had long since forgotten it. Once puberty hits it tends to wipe out all the pleasant fascinations of childhood and replace them with a whole new set of ideas you wouldn't want to tell your mother about. One does not care to guess the number of young potential scientists and philosophers turned from their destined professions by none-too-subtle allure of internet porn.

I knew it was a gazelle that the dinosaur was eating because they were both in the gazelle pen. There was a sign on the fence that said 'Thomson's Gazelle' and a small description of its habits. I didn't know who Thomson was. Also on the sign was a map of Africa with the habitats of the Gazelles marked in black. It was quite interesting reading and I took the opportunity to brush up my knowledge a little bit.

Fascinating creatures gazelles, they can run up to 50 MPH and can leap up to fifteen feet! And those horns are so beautiful! Lightly turned inward in the lower middle and then gently sloping outward. Quite noble looking really.

But apparently their various gifts had not helped this specimen. It was interesting that the dinosaur would choose a gazelle to eat, since there were water buffalo on one side and camels on the other. Becoming more and more curious about the camels, I wandered over to read the sign.

And that's why I dressed up as a camel for the Halloween party.
