You Can Have Memories that Didn't Break the Bank

It's a beautiful feeling waking up to discover that you've met the perfect person for you. Most people day dream about that day for years and when it finally happens they don't have the funds to pay for an elaborate wedding. There are tons of things to consider when planning a wedding like where to have the ceremony, where to have the reception, how many people to invite, how much money to spend, what kind of flowers, who to ask to be a bridesmaid. who to ask to be the groomsmen and the list goes on and on. If money is an issue for your wedding plans I have a few ideas that will save you tons of money on the special day.

The first money saving idea is the time of year the wedding is planned. The reason the time of year is so important is because it offers you multiple options. Summer weddings are always romantic and convenient for everyone involved. If you would like to have an indoor wedding at a church but you don't belong to one you may want to consider having an outdoor wedding. This will not only afford you less time decorating but saves you tons of money. With an outdoor wedding you don't have to pay anyone to rent the space. It also cost less to decorate the outdoors and depending on location most of the flowers may already be provided. Most guest who attend will appreciate the cool breeze that caress their skin and enjoy the harmonious music provided by nature.

The second money saving idea is looking for a beautiful wedding gown at a discounted price. Every woman"s fantasy is to have the perfect wedding gown. The dress that will make her feel like a gorgeous princess for the evening. Unless you're married to Donald Trump you probably can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress you're only going to wear once. Most bridal shops offer dresses that are discounted or even on clearance so it is best to check those out before you go crazy in the Couture section of the store. There are plenty of styles to choose from that will still say elegant and classy lady that won't put a huge dent in your wallet. For men looking for a Tux may be a task all on its own but men can save money if they buy from a men's formal wear store that offers discounts if all of the groomsmen are buying from them as well.

Your third money saving idea is making a wise choice menu. Most people would like to serve steak and seafood to there guest but let's face it that can be pretty expensive. Try selecting foods like chicken or turkey that can be done elegantly but cost less. I have yet to taste a good steak at a wedding any way. Chicken is not only safer but when served with a lovely sauce taste better. When serving steak you have to worry about which guest may like it medium rare or well done save yourself the hassle. Choose a smaller catering company because they don't have that many servers to pay which means they don't charge you an arm and leg for their service. When serving alcohol at your reception you may want to pay for a limited amount of alcohol as it can be pretty costly. Besides that you don't want uncle George getting drunk and spoiling your wedding with stories of his days in vietnam or aunt Bettie telling all of her stories of being a good looking teenager back in her day. Trust me limited alcohol is a good thing.

Your fourth money saving idea is floral arrangements. These wonderful must have items can rack up tons of money on the final expenses tab. Money you may not be willing to spend on flowers that will die within a few short days. The best way to save on flowers are replacing real flowers with silk flowers. They cost a lot less than the real thing and provided you have a florist who uses artificial flowers can make them look just as beautiful if not better. I only order silk floral arrangements for any event and my florist does an excellent job at making then look like the real thing. The reason silk flowers cost less is because they are not going to go out of stock depending on the season or time of year they are always on hand and there price range is in cents per bundle opposed to dollars.

I hope you found this article to be most helpful in saving you money for the most special event of your entire not. Use these tips wisely and you will find that you may actually have spending money to take with you on your fabulous honeymoon or you may find that the money you saved will afford you a honeymoon which is even better. Until next time congratulations!!!!
