The first decision is the wedding date. If the bride does the planning making, a list is a good idea. 1. Total cost, 2. place, 3. wedding party, 4. colors, 5. flowers, the color, and kind, 6. cake, invitations, bride's dress, tuxedos, 7. Reception (where), what is served, 8. the server/servers and guest register, 10. Who is performing the ceremony?
When choosing a Minister most will want a meeting. There are reasons that some will not perform the ceremony. These are, the second marriage of the bride or groom. At least the bride or groom needs to attend their church. In addition, if they have already been living together, another is they will have no alcohol beverage where the wedding is performed.
Of course, there are other things to consider. Contacting the person doing the wedding when deciding the date and time. This will need to be confirmed. Rehearsals are usually the night before the wedding. If thinking of another time be sure to consult the minister to confirm. Both of these need a confirmation well in advance. Ministers, Notaries or Justus of the Peace will not put aside two days for a wedding. Unless it is very necessary.
Notaries can only perform weddings in three states. They are Florida, Maine and South Carolina. There are some Justus of the Peace as well as Ministers that will perform a wedding anytime. Nevertheless, be considerate in all of the time periods. In addition, checking with all the chosen wedding party with the time is just being considerate.
Where to start; a free planners checklist is online at Dream Wedding. There find tips, suggestions and guides how to plan a wedding. This is a great help to complete the plans. In addition, it is a good idea to attend as many bridal shows possible.
Now check the different places and prices for the flowers, cakes, tuxedos also invitations. However, decide the amount to spend on the bride's dress before shopping. Then try to stay within $25 to $40 of that amount. Then shop for the prefect dress. The bride may decide to pay for the bridesmaid's dresses. If so, there should be a fitting set. When paying for the tuxedos a an appointment for fitting will need to be made. Otherwise, let the groomsman know the color so they can get their own. Also, give the women the color with the length so they can pick up their own dress
