How to Plan a Yellow-Themed Party

When planning a Yellow themed party, one thing to make sure is to not over do the yellow color. You may ask yourself, why would I not want to include yellow all over the place for a Yellow themed party? For one reason not to include yellow all over the place in a yellow themed party is you want to make sure that the color is the central theme, but not to over do the color so much that people might grow tired of the party. Does this mean that you have to have a central focus on the color yellow for your dinner party or get together? Well, yes you have to have yellow in there somewhere. Now yellow is a very bright color. In putting yellow into anything you may use as decoration or for entrees for food, there is another thing to consider, does it look good in yellow? In choosing yellow for certain things, it is necessary to be cautious in where you put yellow. For example, yellow dyed water may not look so good sitting at a dinner table.

In making sure you don't accidentally put yellow where it should really not go, take a moment when you get an idea for the color yellow and try it out. Would it make people smile or frown when they see it? A good start for this is to look at what your centerpiece is going to be. Is your centerpiece going to be flowers? If flowers are what you chose for your centerpiece, make sure you are picking flowers that fit into the type of party you are having. For instance if you are having a very small get together and it is more social than formal, sunflowers would work. If the party is more formal, perhaps something elegant like a small bouquet of yellow roses that have been cut from the steams and put into water so they float. Now you have the centerpiece done, now onto the setting of the table. As was said before, the type of party you are having is taken into consideration in setting the table as well.

If you have a centerpiece that is small and elegant, the napkins or dinner wear should be the same. Plastic yellow utensils would not work here or would paper yellow napkins. A simple small flower that is yellow on the napkin would work, or a very pale yellow napkin would work for the setting. After you have the table setting to your liking, now it is considered whether or not to decorate around there. If it is a social party, decorate away in anyway you think is fun. Please remember anything of too much will be that, too much. So take the time to look at what you wish to put up as decorations, try it out and see if it works. In doing these few things a Yellow themed party does not have to be too "yellow."
