How to Play Street Craps

It isn't difficult to learn how to play street craps. Even the history of the game itself is quite simple. This is a game that originated from the game "Hazard," which was created during the Crusades in 1125AD. Hazard was a very popular game throughout Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Eventually it made its way to America where it transformed into the game that has come to be known as craps. While this game is usually played in casinos, it is also played on the streets. If you want to make money off of this game, here is what you will need to know.In order to play street craps you will need:

• A pair of dice
• Some players
• Money to bet

Decide who the first shooter will be. They will need to make the first bet. Play will then proceed in a clockwise direction. Each player can either cover either part or the shooter's entire bet. This continues until the shooter's entire bet is matched. Then the game can either continue or all of the players, except for the shooter, can bet amongst themselves.

Roll the game's first roll, which is known as the "come out roll." If a 7, 11, 2, 3 or 12 are rolled, the game is over. The shooter wins if he rolled either a 7 or an 11 and thus he gets the money. Anyone who bet another player that the shooter would win, doubles their money. However, if a 2, 3 or 12 are rolled, then the shooter and the person who bet on him both lose.

Set a "point" number for your street craps game. This is any number except for the aforementioned numbers. So, it would be 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. If any of these numbers are rolled, it becomes the point.

Now the shooter will need to roll the point number again before rolling a 7, which is known as an "out 7" in street craps. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is rolled again, the shooter, and anyone that bet on them, loses.

You continue rolling dice when you play street craps until either the 7 is rolled and the shooter loses the street craps game or the point is rolled and the shooter wins the street craps game. Whenever any other number is rolled in street craps, the shooter picks up the dice and rolls them again. This is because the game isn't over until either an out 7 or a point is rolled.

Whenever you are playing street craps bets have to be placed before the come out roll. Remember that if you win, you can only win the amount that you bet. This means that if the shooter bet $10 but you only matched $5, you can only win $5. The rest of the money is then divided, in the same way, amongst the other players in the street craps game.

Street craps is played in the same fashion that casino craps is played. There is just a slightly different betting structure used in street craps. So, if you want to go on to play casino craps, you will need to learn that betting structure.
