Things Needed:
1. Video Game System
Xbox 360, Ps2, even the older game systems will work as long as they use RCA connections. They are usually colored Red, White, and Yellow.
2. Computer
Your computer might already be equipped with a tv input. Check for the correct connections on the back of your computer or the owner's manual.
3. Video Card with Video In or a TV Tuner Card.
Video Card:
You may buy a TV Tuner Card at your local electronics store price varies but a cheap card around $30 to $40 dollars will get the job done just fine. These are very easy to install and comes with directions. Please make sure the computer shuts completely down and not plugged in. Then remove the side panel. Remove the old video card with one screw. This is where the monitor plugs in. Replace with new video card. In addition, put the side back on. Install the driver disk that came with the new video card.
TV Tuner Card:
You will install this the same way you do the video card but it will not take the place of the video card instead, it will take the place of a empty spot on your motherboard. Just remove the metal plate and install the TV Tuner Card and you are on your way!
4. Phillips Head Screw Driver
This is used to remove the side cover and the video card. Please do not use a screwdriver that is Magnetic. Please test the screwdriver out on a medal screw and see if it sticks if it does do not use it!
5. HDMI to DVI Convertor
This can sometimes be cheaper or a easier option if you do not want to upgrade your computer with a new video card with the TV in option. These are cheap so might be the best option for you.
Finish Install:
Once you have the correct setup, it is as simple as connecting the video game system to the back of your video card and turning the game system on. Load the correct channel on your tuner card and your ready to play just like on your TV!
I hope that this article is helpful take care and God Bless.
