How to be in Playboy

You have seen the TV show on E! the Girls Next Door. You know the bio of various playboy centerfolds like Pam Anderson, Jenny Mc Cartny, and Anna Nichole Smith. Your dream is to be in playboy. What are the steps you need to do to get into playboy? Yes, they do casting calls, but what if you don't want to wait for that? Here are some tips on getting into the magazine.

One the best ways to prepare for playboy, is study the magazine. Study the poses, what the girls are doing, how are their facial expressions. Do not stop at one magazine, try to get as many as you can. Ten issues is a good number for you to study and prepare yourself, for your playboy debut.

As you study the layouts, mimic what they are doing. Take some practice photos, poloroids and digital pictures you can print out work well for this, mainly because you can mark up the photos. Don't be shy, write on the photos, "too big of a smile, tilted head wrong way, hate lighting," what ever it is you don't like write it on the photo.

Once you have something you like it time to take your "audition" photo. These photos can be Polaroid, print, transparency or digital format. Do not send your photos in the form of CDs, discs or undeveloped film. Playboy does not accept these types of submissions. The photos must be recent photos, and are to be full-figure, nude photographs that show you in several different poses. You must also send close-up photographs that show your face. It is best to send about 5 poses and 2 facial photos.

After you get your "audition" photos, you have to write a brief biography for yourself. The biography should include your height, weight, measurements, occupation, awards and hobbies. You must be at least 18 years old and provide proof (photocopies of two pieces of identification). Your name must be on both pieces of identification and one must have a current photo and your date of birth. Acceptable documents as proof of identification and age: driver's license, passport, birth certificate, school identification, voter's registration, Social Security card, employee ID or state issued ID card.

Your application is now ready, there is two ways to submit it to Playboy:
1) Email your photos, biography, and your identification to playmateeditor@playboy.com. Make sure you have the following in the subject line: Attention Playmate Editor and your name.

2) Alternately, mail your submission to: Attn Playmate Editor, P.E.I., 680 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611 USA, however, if you live in California, mail your submission materials to: Playmate Editor, Playboy Studio West, 2112 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90404.
Playboy will return photos only if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope of the correct size with proper postage. If you do not include a return envelope, otherwise Playboy will destroy your photos.

If you impress the editors, they may call you to make an appointment for test shots. If you are chosen to become a Playboy Playmate, Playboy will contact you within three months. If you are not contacted within three months of your submission, you have not been selected.
