How to Make a Poor Man's Mocha

TJ Frech
So, you're in your office and you have a weird craving for the chocolaty coffee drink known as a mocha, but you don't have the access to the necessary ingredients or machines to make such a delicious drink? Well, here's a super easy process to make your own using common office coffees and additives.

First off, you will need the following ingredients: 2 French Vanilla Creamers, 2 packs of sugar, 1 pack of hot chocolate mix, a pot of coffee, and a large coffee cup.

Second, make a pot of coffee. Whatever you have will probably be sufficient, as most of the additives will change the taste of the coffee. However, having a good tasting coffee won't hurt.

While the coffee is being brewed, dump all of the ingredients (except the coffee) into the cup.

While the coffee is brewing, think about how you would like to flavor your drink. The ingredients above are a suggested flavor profile. If you want to add more sugar or creamers, go ahead and try it. This drink was actually invented with random ingredients that I happened to find at my office job. My favorite profile is 3 packs of sugar, 4 creamers, and some generic Columbia bean coffee. It tastes great!

After the coffee is done brewing, fill your cup with it. After its filled, take something and stir it until most of the clumps of hot chocolate are dissolved. The coffee will be extra dark with a white foam on top.

Drink slowly, because it is hot. But most of all, enjoy!
