Popcorn is a favorite of many but then mix the delicious treat together with sugar, you then have a sweet and salty heaven.
Popcorn Balls are easy to make and here you will find three variations on three caramel popcorn ball recipes.
The popcorn balls are handy for parties or just for anytime treats because they can be individually wrapped ahead of time, can be a great grab and go snack and they taste great!
Perfect Popcorn Balls
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup whipping cream
2 Tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
Cook ingredients in microwave until they start to harden. Remove ingredients from microwave and mix lightly with approximately 1 ½ gallons of popped corn and form into individual balls.
Carmely Popcorn Balls
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup corn syrup (light or dark)
½ teaspoon baking soda
Cook ingredients over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, do not allow the mixture to boil. At the last minute, add ½ teaspoon baking soda and stir until foamy. Place popcorn on flat surface and pour mixture over the popped corn. Immediately form into balls. Place popcorn balls on baking pan and put for 200* oven for about 30-45 minutes. Remove immediately from pans.
Easy Carmel Popcorn Balls
1 cup butter
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup light or dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt butter in large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn in baking pans and then form into popcorn balls. Bake at 250* for about 25 minutes. Remove immediately from pans.
The Popcorn Balls vary a bit in their ingredients and directions but each popcorn ball recipe is delicious and no matter which one you choose to make, it will be a huge hit with your family or at your next party!
